ROBERT DENKIN, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert Denkin has a private practice in New Canaan, CT and also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University. He specializes in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD and interpersonal relationships. He completed his undergraduate work at Drew University in New Jersey. He then went on to earn an M.A. in Psychology from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT and his Ph.D. from Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, CA.
He has trained at some of the top academic institutions in the country including Yale University, the San Francisco VA Medical Center, the West Haven VA Medical Center and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. He has a specialization in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and in addition to experience with all levels and types of traumas, he currently works with combat veterans at the West Haven VA Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Robert Denkin is skilled in treating depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders and has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. Robert Denkin uses a personalized, eclectic therapeutic approach in his work.

JENNIFER DENKIN, Ph.D.
Dr. Jennifer Denkin specializes in Health Psychology, the mind-body connection, mindfulness, depression, anxiety, stress and women's mental and physical health issues. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. She completed both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.
Her training has involved working in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings including Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, CA and Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT. Throughout her training, she focused on treating depression and anxiety disorders, as well as interpersonal relationships, women's health issues and eating disorders.
As a Health Psychology expert and Behavioral Medicine Specialist, she is able to work with clients who are suffering both medical and psychological symptoms. Some examples include treating clients who have physical symptoms of anxiety and/or stress, those who are having difficulty adjusting their lifestyle to a newly diagnosed medical condition, women who are struggling with the loss of a pregnancy or fertility issues and working with clients who are interested in strengthening their mind-body connection to promote overall wellness. She is also qualified to provide biofeedback for chronic pain, migraines/headaches and stress management. Dr. Jennifer Denkin uses an eclectic and individualized approach to therapy and believes that by providing a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment, a person can learn the skills necessary to empower themselves to achieve overall wellness and health in both their mind and body.
